Why so many of the United States' largest corporations are incorporated in Delaware?
According to Wikipedia, many of the United States' largest corporations are incorporated in Delaware, and many foreign corporations have their US subsidiaries incorporated there.
- American International Group (AIG)
- Citizens Communications (Frontier Telephone)
- Chrysler Corporation
- Coca-Cola Company
- Citigroup
- Dolby Laboratories (reincorporated in Delaware in September 2004, before going public on February 17, 2005) [1]
- E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. — a rarity among Delaware corporations, as it is actually physically headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware.
